The mission of the Foundation for Educational & Employment Resources Development Inc. (Acuña Gallery and Cultural Center @ the Cafe on A) is to provide community empowerment and positive growth opportunities through art and cultural activities to at-risk youth and marginalized populations living in the Oxnard Plains area who may suffer from disproportionate employment, disabilities and educational disparities in an educational, compassionate and nurturing environment.
The Acuña Gallery and Cultural Center @ the Cafe on A programs are dynamic as they are unique. Throughout the year we host a large number of program events which include: art exhibits, concerts, open-mic poetry nights, author forums, film screenings, meetings, plays, and so much more. Most events are FREE to the public. The community is welcomed to attend our OMMH meetings on Fridays at 5:30 p.m. to find out more about our organization and upcoming events. The Cafe on A is located at 438 South A Street, Oxnard, CA.
